Developing a strong understanding of the fundamentals of math is critical to a student's academic success in high school and college entrance exams. Many times though, concepts introduced in the classroom are never practiced and certainly never mastered. What results are gaps in a student's mathematical literacy that, years later, can frustrate even the brightest children.
Using an oral and written assessment, Mathnasium identifies these gaps and assembles a customized learning plan for the student. He or she then attends Mathnasium, twice per week, for a "math workout" with one of our highly qualified instructors. We teach "Number Sense" and we instill in students a deep understanding and lifelong love of mathematics. We build academic confidence in children that is carried back to the classroom and beyond.
We charge $299 per month for elementary and middle school students for EIGHT hours of instruction. The typical schedule is two math sessions per week for one hour. It is the consistency of those two hours per week that makes the difference.
We're open Monday to Thursday, 3pm to 7pm, and Saturdays, 10am to 2pm.
We offer FREE ASSESSMENTS to EVERYONE! We spend a full hour conducting the assessments and then report back to the parents. It is a great way for parents to, without obligation, identify gaps in their children's math literacy and determine whether or not he or she is performing at grade level. These days, because of the way math is taught in the classroom, those gaps are very common. Parents, many times, are shocked to discover what skills their children are not already proficient in.
