Adelphi Academy is a college preparatory school for ages pre-k to 12th grade. Adelphi Academy became the first school to educate women and prepare them for institutes of higher education, before colleges were admitting women. Adelphi Academy founded Adelphi College. This was the first College accepting women. Adelphi College is now Adelphi University. The school also offers several programs to accommodate children with different learning styles, including the Bridge Program, for specific learning disabilities.
