We have seen Dr. Ehrlich for the last 5 years and I can't say enough good things about his research, extensive knowledge about kids and allergies (including food allergies), bedside manner and the nurses there. He is one of the top-notch ped allergists in NYC and it's obvious why. He also wrote a book about Pediatric Allergies with a fellow physician at Mount Sinai. It's worth reading.

We saw Dr. Ehrlich for our son who, at the time, was 1. He had tested very high for a peanut allergy and had had a reaction to the ingestion of eggs which he subsequently tested high for, as well. As it turned out, our pediatrician's office had ordered incorrect tests. Dr. Ehrlich kept us and our impatient 1 year old waiting with him in his office as he berated the lab for even administering such a test, none of which moved our appointment forward or helped us in the moment.

After he was done, he administered a skin test. We also went back to our pediatrician's office the next day to re-do the blood work. Dr. Ehrlich's skin test had a few contradictions to the correct blood test so he told us to throw his skin test results out the window and go with the blood test results. This was infuriating. Finding out that your child has dangerous allergies is hard enough. Having contradictory tests is confusing enough. Having a doctor throw a fit when a test is administered incorrectly only to subsequently suggest that we throw out his test is unforgiveable. We left him immediately.
