About this business:

Group classes designed to empower conscious childbirth. Based on the Birthing from Within philosophy, classes focus on the physical opening that must occur during labor and birth as well as expanding the heart and mind to more completely accommodate new life. You and your birth partner will be guided through movements, breathwork, vocalization and meditation that help prepare the body and mind forlabor and birth. Kristen Bower (who teaches the class) has been supporting women and their families through pregnancy, birth and parenting for nearly a decade. She works as a nurse at Roosevelt Birthing Center in Manhattan and teaches independent childbirth classes.
